My first birthday wish came via text message at 12:14am from Kyle, which cracked me up! Early in the morning my brother and mom both called to send there regards, providing a nice start to the day. Then I met with Lucas for lunch. We went to Tributes and I had a French dip, so yummy! Then Lucas wanted to take me out for dessert, so we went to Saint Honore and I had there namesake dessert (the one with the cream puffs and caramelized sugar, sooo good!). Then Lucas and I walked around and went into a couple of stores on 23rd, including the Gap where I bought six different pairs of argyle socks (happy birthday to me!). Then I spent the afternoon just relaxing (got a phone call from Emily, Erin, Andrew, Aunt Kelly, Uncle David, and the Grand Van Ottens) and watched some L&W:SVU. Then I met up with Aaron and Logan for dinner and drinks at Henrys, where I of course had the fish and chips and a mojito! Then we met up with Matt at Kells and had couple more drinks. After Kells, we crossed the street over to the Thirsty Lion where John's band was playing again and we met up with a girl we went to high school with named Laura. This is where Matt proceeded to buy me all sorts of interesting drinks (like a German chocolate cake). Then we decided to go over to the Portland city grill (which has awesome views because it is on the 30th floor) and I had some French mocha crème brule, holy crap it was good. For some reason once we left there, we decided to go to voodoo doughnuts for I guess one last treat. Needless to say, I was very full. Some how, I did not spend a cent all night, not to bad. Matt did not drink because he was taking some medication, so he drove us all back home and they dropped me off first and sang happy birthday extremely loudly in the middle of Vista in front of the apartment; an excellent end to a good birthday. I wished so much that you could have been here to share the day with me, but I know that we will have plenty of birthdays to spend together in the future. Love you Paige!
